Peter wrote about the conception of Connect Fleet as a business, and our directors Adam Jervis and Will Penney striking gold after being selected by global company DB Schenker to handle the GPS management and tracking logistics for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
Fast forward to October 2020, and Connect Fleet has now expanded to a 10 person team. We are working with some great businesses to help them navigate the unknown landscape of Covid-19, implementing our solutions and finding strategies to manage bottom line costs.
A fair proportion of our business is in the civil construction space, and “we do more in plant machinery, excavators, dump truck, those sorts of things” Will was quoted. Gaining full visibility and optimising the way a business uses an excavator, for instance, is our sweet spot. Providing that data to businesses to determine whether or not they should invest in more equipment, or better ways to manage and utilise their commercial fleet is what we work towards.
As Peter reports, Connect Fleet are really trying to make something happen here in Noosa. For an economy that is heavily dependant on tourism, we want the community to know we are working hard, continuing on a trajectory of growth and doing our very best to hold on to people as we go.
